Zac is a founding partner and leads Moretz, Karb and Gelwicks Real Estate, Community Associations and Business Law practice group. He is a Certified Specialist in Commercial Real Estate Law by the North Carolina State Bar, and is also a licensed real estate broker in both North and South Carolina. He is a member of the Community Associations Institute and of the Legislative Committee of the North Carolina Bar Association’s Real Property section.
Zac is a native of Sanford, North Carolina and is a graduate of Ravenscroft High School in Raleigh, Oglethorpe University in Atlanta, and Wake Forest University School of Law.
Benjamin C. Karb
Ben is a partner with Moretz, Karb & Gelwicks PA. Ben's main practice areas are community associations law, commercial real estate, and business and corporate law. Ben is licensed to practice law in both North Carolina and South Carolina. Ben is a member of the North Carolina Bar Association's Real Property section and a member of the South Carolina Bar's Community Association Law Committee.
He is a graduate of N.C. State University and West Virginia University School of Law. After finishing law school, Ben attended the University of Miami where he earned an additional master's degree, known as an "LL.M.", in real estate development law.
Chris has been practicing law for twenty years and is admitted to practice in North Carolina, South Carolina and Maryland. His practice focuses primarily on the representation of Homeowner and Condominium Associations and related corporate and real estate matters. Chris is former prosecutor and criminal defense attorney and uses his litigation experience to assist clients to provide practical resolutions when conflicts arise and also provides zealous court representation. As a litigator, Chris has appeared in court in over fifty counties across North and South Carolina and Maryland.
When not practicing law, Chris is active with his family and church. He enjoys golf, history, wine tasting and spending time with his family. Chris was born and raised in Hagerstown Maryland and is a graduate of North Hagerstown High School, Towson State University, and Regent University Law.
A veteran entrepreneur in the high-tech space, Marjorie T. Benbow provides her clients with legal expertise and business sense. She is of counsel at Moretz Karb & Gelwicks and focuses on technology transfer, licensing, corporate matters and distillery & brewery law.
Marjorie Benbow is licensed to practice law in North Carolina and before the US Patent and Trademark Office. Inspired by her first husband’s (Colonel Hector Henry, II, MD) military tenure that was ended by a service-connected disability, she became a certified Veteran’s Representative. Ms. Benbow completed her Juris Doctor and Master of Business Administration from Wake Forest in 1999 and her bachelor and master of science from UNC Chapel Hill.
