Zac is the founding partner and leads Moretz Law Group, P.A. He has been practicing commercial real estate, business, motorsports and community associations law in North Carolina for 25 years. He is a Certified Specialist by the North Carolina State Bar in Commercial Real Estate Law, one of only 9 in the Charlotte metro area, and is also a licensed real estate broker in North and South Carolina. He practices in the areas of commercial real estate, real estate development, planned communities and homeowners’ associations, business and corporate law, construction law, and motorsports law, and has substantial experience in assisting with the development of residential, commercial and mixed-use projects of all kinds. Zac is a former general counsel to a large Charlotte developer, and works with many high-profile real estate developers, construction firms and contractors. He also represents hundreds of homeowners associations throughout the Charlotte metro area and throughout North Carolina.

Prior to law school, Zac spent 5 years as a Product Manager in the software industry in Atlanta, Georgia, most notably for UnInstaller, the world's best-selling business software title at the time. UnInstaller invented the concept of safely and completely uninstalling software from Windows, freeing up space and making PCs run more efficiently. Prior to managing UnInstaller, Zac designed the user interface for and managed Desk to Desk, a small business networking application, which PC/Computing Magazine said "has one of the best interfaces we've seen in any application - networking or otherwise" - and a line of multimedia titles for Digital Theater, Inc.

Prior to becoming a lawyer, Zac raced cars in the SCCA National series. He was named the SCCA Atlanta Region driver of the year in 1992 and qualified 10th for the national championship runoffs that year. In the race, his throttle cable snapped while running in second place. Currently Zac enjoys working on old cars and old buildings in his spare time, and spending time with his four children and extended family of stepchildren and grandchildren. Zac serves on the board of directors of Concord Rotary Club and the Salvation Army of Cabarrus and Rowan Counties, and is a member of Central United Methodist Church in downtown Concord.
